Treatment To Match Your Needs

Nevada, just like any other state in the US, has its ups and downs. And one of the biggest downs that most states are experiencing is substance abuse. Becoming chemically dependent on a substance is much more common than most people realize, and can happen to anyone at any time.

At A Better Today, we do our best to help everyone who is struggling through the trial of an addiction by offering many treatment options. Inpatient, intensive outpatient, transitional housing, and medically managed detox are all things we extend toward our patients. Medically managed detox is the beginning of most treatment plans, and is the time when the toxins from the substance are able to be cleansed from the body, giving one a clear mindset. Inpatient treatment allows you to live in a safe environment, and gives you access to highly educated therapists who specialize in addiction and co-occurring disorders, and will work with you to create the best therapy method for you and your personal needs. Our outpatient program meets three times a week in the evenings for group therapy, and offers you the chance to meet others who are currently going through the same sort of situation as you.

We believe that addiction is a disease of the brain, and treat is as such. We recognize that everyone is an individual, and have individual problems and circumstances, and we work to come up with personalized plans for everyone to best help them achieve sobriety. We also offer comfortable and safe living quarters and facilities.

  • Detox and Withdrawal

Detoxing and withdrawing from the substance you have been using is the first step in getting clean. Here at A Better Today, we offer medically managed detox to help you through the worst of the withdrawal symptoms. We do our best to make sure you have the most comfortable detox possible.

  • Drug and Alcohol Rehab

The main goal of rehab is to give you the skills necessary to achieve and maintain sobriety. We recognize addiction as a disease, but also realize that there may be other factors leading to an addiction. We offer resources to help you dig deep and discover these issues in correlation to your substance abuse. ABT teaches necessary skills to not only live, but to create a rich, full life in recovery.

  • Family Intervention

Denial is a very common problem among many people who suffer from a substance abuse problem, and it is extremely difficult to have to witness someone you love slip further and further from you and into their addiction. But there is hope. Hosting an intervention for a loved one is a great way approach the problem in a loving and supportive way.

  • Group & Individual Therapy

Group therapy is a wonderful place for people to open up amongst their peers and talk about their struggles in an open, warm, and inviting environment. In individual therapy, our clients are given the opportunity to have one-on-one conversation with a trained therapist and to discover any other issues that may be contributing to their usage.

  • Music & Art Therapy

Music and art provide an emotional release, and give one the opportunity to express themselves in a way that they maybe can’t otherwise. They also are a big help in delving deeper into the stresses and issues our clients may have, giving us better insight into how best to help them.

  • Cognitive Behavioral Therapy

Cognitive Behavior Therapy focuses on your thoughts and the effect they can have on you and how you feel, and turns your negative thoughts into positive ones instead. We at ABT want all our clients to know that their addiction is a disease, and not a deficiency of character on their part, and that they can get better.

  • Strength & Yoga Therapy

After abusing substances, your body starts to feel the effects of the abuse, and physical and mental health may start to decline. The aim of yoga and strength therapy is to repair the damage done to your body, and to provide stress relief along with natural endorphins to help balance the chemicals in the brain.
